6 Months of Josh

Since I haven't posted one thing on here since late 2011 and it's now July, here's an update on the man in our family...Josh! What has he been up to over the last 6 months? ...

Josh finally had to buy a suit and was trying to have a little bit of fun with it by acting like he was in "Men in Black." His friend Randall passed away in January after a year and a half battle with cancer and Josh was a pallbearer at his funeral. Randall would have gotten a kick out of seeing Josh in a suit I'm sure!
Josh is not known to plan things AT ALL and this is a great example! He had heard hot air balloons were headed our way so he loaded us all up in the truck and we went to a spot near Logandale called the double negative where he thought would be a great spot to see them. Not one hot air balloon appeared BUT it turns out the girls like throwing rocks over cliffs and finding new and interesting treasures in the desert. Plus it was way better than sitting home bored on a Saturday morning : ) Thanks Josh for your random journeys you take us on.
Tamryn & Daddy-She LOVED sitting on his shoulders and laughed the whole time. Tatum...not so much!
Josh loves getting home from work and tickling the girls first thing. Both girls love it too!
Josh laid down pavers himself for the first time at our house right by the shed. We had the shed fixed up last year and the pavers make it look even better and there's a lot less dirt getting tracked in the house now. Here's a shot of it about 2 seconds after getting finished so don't mind the pile of dirt and tools : )
Josh continued to spend much of his free time working on and riding his off road truck. His friends with e11even Media took some great shots of him doing some practice runs near our house.

Josh even got Tamryn to help out with the truck! Both girls love "working" on his truck.
Josh raced in the Battle at Primm in February. Here's him with his awesome pit crew. He was super fast and passed a lot of people...until a shock broke. After fixing that, something went wrong with the engine, so he was unable to finish the race : ( Everyone still had a lot of fun watching all the other races so it wasn't a total wash.
This is a great picture of Josh passing another truck.
Josh and his Day One codriver Hawkeye.
There's Josh right in the middle...so fun to watch!
Josh turned 28 in March. The girls helped him blow out the candles : )
Tatum decided to go help Daddy work on his broken truck. I think Josh REALLY enjoyed the extra company!
Josh's Dad and family spent the day at Circus Circus and the little theme park there. So we joined them and Josh had fun spending time with his Dad and all of us had a blast trying to keep the girls entertained.

Josh was in a race in June at Lake Elsinore, CA. He did amazing during practice and qualified 4th out of 22 trucks. Unfortunately he had shock trouble AGAIN so he decided it was better to not break it even more and didn't race on race day. He was really disappointed, but he almost immediately started working on the truck when he was back home so the problem will hopefully be fixed soon.
On their way back from the race, Bob who was driving had his truck break down in California. They couldn't fix it on the side of the road. So they had a friend drive out there, load up the race truck and take Josh home in Logandale. Then Josh drove BACK to go get Bob and his truck. Josh and Bob were both up for 28 hours!!! I don't know how they did it.
Here's Josh welding away on something for his truck.
For Father's Day Josh finally broke down and took all of us to the lake for the first time as a family. Pretty pathetic considering we live just minutes away from Lake Mead. He was surprised by how much fun he had. I think that's why little kiddos are so much fun! They make the lake more interesting for everyone. Both girls had a blast swimming with their Daddy.
