Wave of Summer Birthdays

Now that fall is here, I am looking forward to the cooler weather and a little break from birthdays. Summer was full of them starting with my mom who turned 48.

We all had lunch at B.J.'s and Mom loved keeping the girls entertained during her birthday lunch.

Tamryn showing off Mom's new Coach purse...the girl's got good taste!
The ice cream sandwich cake I made for her birthday that surprisingly turned out delicious (especially since I was the one who made it!).

Birthday #2...The girls! Party #1 was just a small family get together at my parents house. Of course my mom had to get My Little Pony decorations and balloons for the big day.
Tatum LOVED the birthday blow thingie (what are they called anyway?) and tried over and over to make it work.

Tamryn tried for a little while too.
Here's my almost 2 year olds!

 Tatum ready to swim!
My Dad and I were the lucky ones to swim with them...as usual : ) The girls have really started to love swimming and they don't mind the floaties at all.

 Tatum ready to drill!
 Tamryn and Mama
Tamryn LOVED the drill set and goggles.

Their new playhouse from Grandma and Grandpa that they play in every single day rain or shine!

 Make a wish!
Grandpa playing house with the girls...very sweet!
Next up...birthday party #2 which was their main party. We had close friends and family come to it out here in the valley and yes even my parents, sister, and Josh's mom made the drive out here for the party. The girls loved swimming with everyone and it was fun having other little kids there too.
Tamryn was such a ham that day and had so much fun!
Tatum was a little more serious.
The girls loved seeing Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt Taylor there.
 Tamryn's favorite, cheetoh puffs

Tatum attempting to blow the candles out before a huge windstorm swept through.
 Tamryn trying too
Once Tamryn opened this laptop gift she was glued to it for the rest of the party...and still loves it now and calls it a birthday cake haha.
Birthday party #3 kinda...On their actual birthday I dressed them up a little bit and had them open a few gifts from their Great Grandparents in Wisconsin and made them a ice cream sandwich cake which they seemed to like.
How crazy that my little girls are already two!! They are growing up so quickly and are just the sweetest, most complex, and fun daughters I could ever ask for : ) Love them!

We barely had time to recuperate from the week of birthday celebrations for the girls since I turned 31 (yikes!) A few days before, my family had a small get together at my parents house where we swam, ate yummy food, and had cake and ice cream.
This cake is from Walmart, a first for us! My mom had my cake baking in the oven when we got there. She was so busy playing with the girls and I that she forgot about the cake. Then my mom and I went to pick up some food when it hit her that my cake (a good hour later) was still in the oven! So we made a stop at Walmart and picked up a backup cake. Surprisingly it was DELICIOUS. Everyone loved it!

Last birthday of summer just a few days after mine was Jared's who turned 23. Crazy right? How did he get so old?? My girls of course were all up in his business as he attempted to open gifts. By his birthday they were quite the experts on opening birthday presents, singing happy birthday, and blowing out candles.
Jared and his beloved dog Bobby.
Tatum was soooooo anxious to blow out the candles. She literally had to be held back, silly girl!
This picture makes me laugh every time! Who knew blowing out candles would be so entertaining? I'm sure Jared appreciated the help Tatum : )

Goodbye summer and goodbye birthdays...for a little while.
