This past Monday on President's Day there was another very special holiday...my parents' wedding anniversary. Now usually none of us really care about it (including my parents), but this year the rest of the family planned a very small surprise party for them since it was their 25th anniversary. My Dad thought it was kind of silly, but my Mom seemed to like it a lot. I am pretty sure she was catching on that we were up to something, but she faked that she was surprised pretty well. Well, at least they don't have to worry about another surprise for 25 more years : )
The happy couple looking a little irritated that I wanted to take a picture of them.
My Mom smelling and loving her flowers.
The best part of it in my opinion was the food. We got pizza and chicken fingers from Villa Pizza. My favorite was the lemonade!! Can you tell I'm starting to get my appetite back?
The gifts look so "romantic." It helps that they got married the day after Valentine's Day. There's so much cheesy heart stuff to choose from in the stores right now.
Here's the snow globe my sister, brother, and I got for my parents. One side is of them now and the other side will have a picture of them on their wedding day. On the bottom of it we had "25 Years and Counting" engraved. Taylor and Lisa, my Mom's sis, were the brains behind this cute gift...I can only take credit for pitching in money-wise for it.
For some reason, we had to take another family picture. We usually save it for Christmas time...pure torture : ) Oh and Josh was at this event. He very happily offered to be the picture taker...any way for him to get out of being in a picture : (
