Halloween at Dumont

We spent Halloween this year at Dumont. Those of you who don't know, Dumont is a really cool place with a lot of dunes in California where you can ride "off-road vehicles" and go camping with trailers. The weather was beautiful the entire weekend, and during our first ride out Josh very nearly rolled us down Comp Hill. We were on two wheels near the top of a very steep hill. I was not happy and didn't go on another ride with him that weekend. I did enjoy going on a ride in Joe's buggy after that though. Halloween night was insane! There were quite a few guys sporting thongs and nothing else that night as their costumes at Comp Hill. Josh of course kept all of his clothes on : ) I think the place finally quieted down around 3 a.m. It was an entertaining weekend to say the least!

Josh's mom, Cara, came out for a day to hang out and ride in Josh's truck. She seemed to have a blast, and Josh liked being able to hang out with his Mom for the day. He was very pleased that she even admitted to being scared one time during a ride : ) She's not a scaredy cat like me, so he had to work at it to get her scared.

The highlight of our trip...a shower!! Josh worked so hard the couple weeks before Halloween to put the shower and water heater tanks in the trailer. His hard work paid off. We didn't even feel like we were camping, because we were so clean. It was almost as exciting as when we put the toilet and heater in the trailer. Next up...a sink and fridge!
